Four days after announcing the suspension of her campaign for Stockton City Council’s 5th District seat, Desiree Lynch has reconsidered and announced she is back in the race.

Stockton City Council has scheduled a special closed session for 8 a.m. to appoint an acting city clerk while City Clerk Katherine Roland is temporarily absent, according to a city spokesperson.

Stockton City Attorney Marci Arredondo is resigning less than five months after the City Council unanimously selected her to lead the city’s legal office, according to a document obtained by Stocktonia.
