Landfills are the largest source of captured biogas in the United States (US), driving record investment in renewable natural gas (RNG) production. The nation’s 598 landfill gas (LFG) capture systems provide about three-quarters of all biogas captured in the US and produce 64 percent of the nation’s RNG, according to new data released by the American Biogas Council (ABC).
