Revolutionary War battles and Patriot gravesites around Lake Norman
LINCOLNTON u2013 For several decades, a solemn ceremony has been held at a location that is thought to be a mass burial site for individuals, Patriots and Loyalists, who died during the Battle of Ramsouru2019s Mill, which was fought on June 20, 1780. There are many other Patriot gravesites around Lake Norman, some even under the lake, according to Jennifer Young Baker, Organizing and Honorary Regent u2013 DAR Vesuvius Furnace Chapter, NSDAR.
