Entering this arena, in front of such a passionate crowd, is truly rewarding. You feel the unique atmosphere the moment you step into the ring — it’s an energy that lifts you and pushes you to give your very best. Caracole was so fast from the first round that all I had to do was follow his rhythm and make the most of his strengths. I stayed calm, observed my competitors in the jump-off, and focused on precise turns — I knew the six strides after the double would be tricky given his stride. She took care of the rest.
