Avextra is therefore introducing a novel cannabisgranulate based on a balanced THC/CBD extract, designed for the preparation ofcapsule-based formulations. The granulate forms part of Avextra’s compoundingportfolio and serves as a starting material for patient-specific formulations, includingoptions suitable for administration via feeding tubes. Pharmacies can now source thegranulate directly and process it locally into individualised capsule formulationscontaining 2.5 mg or 5 mg THC/CBD. Distribution via pharmaceutical wholesalers isexpected from late summer, enabling broader availability, including hospital and long-term care supply.
