Who we are Eurogas represents all gases and their derivatives in Europe. We lead the sector’s transition to climate neutrality through dialogue with stakeholders and policymakers. Established in 1990, Eurogas now has 105 members across Europe and the world. Our members cover wholesale and retail markets, the distribution of gaseous energies and the use of gases in transport. We are active throughout the gases value chains, which include renewable and low-carbon gases, their derivatives and carbon capture utilisation and storage. Indeed, Eurogas advocates for the urgent scaleup and investment in renewable and low-carbon gases alongside CCUS technologies, which will have a significant and increasing role to play in Europe’s energy mix because of their effective contribution to decarbonisation. Decarbonisation is at the core of Eurogas activities: we support the EU’s 2050 climate neutrality objective and the target of reducing GHG emissions by at least 55% by 2030. We advocate for a balanced approach to ensure an environmentally sustainable and socially acceptable energy transition that guarantees security of energy supply.
