GRAND BLANC TWP. u2013 Monica Shapiro is starting from scratch in her efforts to recall five members of the Grand Blanc Township Board of Trustees. The Genesee County Election Commission approved petition language Jan. 15, starting a clock for Shapiro to collected at least 4,717 valid signatures from registered township voters by the end of county office hours Tuesday, July 15, in order to trigger a recall election in November. County Clerk Domonique Clemons said Tuesday that no petitions were submitted by the deadline, and Shapiro submitted new petition language Monday, July 14.
