The boil water alert for Pelton Heights was lifted today on July 24 after water samples tested negative for bacteria and was deemed safe to drink. Independence Township officials were made aware of a water main break on Pelton Rd. in the Pelton Heights neighborhood on July 21 and au00a0boil water alert was put into place for residents in the affected area and corrective measures were put into place.
