Ads of the Week: 10 Campaigns That Caught Our Eye, From On to Reese’s

03/08/2026 · NewsArticle 🕐 🆕
There's an accent on fun this week. Lindsay Lohan has a new role for Reese's Oreo, DoorDash spoofs period dramas, and Summer House star Kyle Cooke goofs it up for Yahoo. Meanwhile, Queer Eye's Antoni Porowski stars in a new micro series for Instacart, and BMW stages an absurdist courtroom drama. La-Z-Boy announces a limited-edition recliner with a fashion designer, and On aims to inspire with Boston Marathon winner Hellen Obiri. Our Most Effective Ad of the Week, in partnership with EDO, hits the road for summer. Keep scrolling for the week’s most notable ads. On | "Race for the Feeling" Boston Marathon winner Hellen Obiri fronts On's latest campaign, following her debut of the brand's Cloudboom Strike 2 shoe at the London Marathon earlier this year. The ad follows Obiri through her everyday life in Boulder, Colorado, from training routes to the gym. The goal is to evoke personal connection and inspire other budding athletes. BMW | "Get Even With Corners" by Serviceplan Middle East BMW released a stylized, absurdist spoof of a courtroom drama, rich with moody black-and-white expressionism, stark shadows, and wide-angle lenses. It warns of the dangers of corners (tripping over beds in the dark, whacking knees against tables), while promoting how the German car giant's M-powered cars can withstand the sharpest turns. La-Z-Boy | "Jer-Z-Boy" by Colle McVoy The legacy furniture brand calls on celebrated fashion designer Kristin Juszczyk, who once created a puffer jacket from a Travis Kelce jersey for Taylor Swift. The Gen Z-targeting campaign centers on a competition, with the winner receiving a customized chair emblazoned inspired by their favorite team. In this 50-second ad, Juszczyk tries out a succession of seating options before finally settling into a La-Z-Boy recliner. Reese’s Oreo | "Two Fated Icons" by Juxtapose Studio Starring Lindsay Lohan, directed by Patricia Arquette, and co-starring Amy Sedaris, this entertaining short film comes with a nod to Lohan's breakout dual role in The Parent Trap. Lohan runs a wellness retreat for bickering twins and thinks she's found a way to bring the Sedaris sisters together through the power of Reese's Oreos. There's a clever plot twist right at the end. Monzo | "Get Busy Living" by BBH London Actress Olivia Colman is on instantly recognizable voiceover duty for these four shorts announcing the launch of the British online bank's first-ever global brand platform. The quartet of films share a certain mood based around how little moments can bring reassurance to everyday life, all soundtracked by boomer/Gen X classics and, of course, Colman's equally comforting tones. DoorDash | "The Forbidden Order" by Wieden+Kennedy Toronto A national brand campaign, "Not That Dramatic" gets underway with a pair of period drama pastiches. In "For All of Us," a heated discussion between a couple on a 1970s train station platform turns out to be a chat about what's for dinner that evening, while "The Forbidden Order" goes back to the heightened passions of the 1800s, where smoldering lovers are delighted to discover there are no hidden delivery charges when ordering sushi. Yahoo | "Weather Boy" https://www.youtube.com/shorts/dMvp8L35LyU Summer House star Kyle Cooke tries his luck as Yahoo's unofficial "Weather Boy," basing his daily reports around the crucial question of whether it's a good day to party. This being Cooke, the answer is generally a resounding yes. A spot promoting Yahoo's revamped weather app sees him upping the bumbling charm as he looks to navigate green screen confusion and a roving reporter (again played by Cooke) whose only analytical input is that the weather is "sick." Instacart | "The Male Shopper Project" https://www.instagram.com/p/DbYLMCwuoID/ This micro series starring Queer Eye's Antoni Porowski and Giggly Squad's Hannah Berner was inspired by viral memes on social media suggesting male grocery shoppers are vastly inferior to their female counterparts. Porowski aims to prove to a skeptical Berner that he can whip a squad of male shoppers into shape, with the best in class awarded a gold avocado. A fine example of how organic social is still ripe for content ideas (unlike those bananas). USAA | "The National Military Monument" by Razorfish Opening to the public this week, the National Military Monument, standing on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C., honors the more than 41 million Americans who have served their country over the past 250 years. The accompanying campaign celebrates the men and women who have made so many sacrifices over the past two-and-a-half centuries and continue to do so today. Most Effective Ad of the Week Chevrolet | "Heartbeat" Chevrolet’s ad debuted on July 8 and highlights the versatility of Chevrolet’s SUV lineup, showcasing features of the 2026 Equinox, Traverse, and Trax through everyday moments like road trips,
