University of California Agriculture and Natural Resources (UCANR) Southwest Regional Food Business Center recently toured the Escondido AgX Regional Innovation Hub (455 N Quince St.), while witnessing the delivery of a new refrigerated truck that Heal the Earth purchased to help the Foodshed. The truck was paid for with a grant from UCANR and made possible with the help of the San Diego Food System Alliance. Heal the Earth is a 501(c)(3) social enterprise nonprofit based in California, dedicated to transforming the food system to work for everyoneu2014farmers, ranchers, fisherfolk, food workers, and consumers alike.
