Australian medical device company Navi Medical Technologies has raised $A6.8 million to bring its Neonav ECG-guided catheter placement system to US pediatric hospitals. The funding follows FDA 510(k) clearance and clinical trials at two leading children's hospitals, with commercial sales expected to begin this year. The technology addresses a critical gap in neonatal care by providing real-time ECG guidance for central venous catheter placement.
