A tragic accident claimed the life of an individual working on a vehicle in Escondido on Wednesday afternoon, July 29. Emergency responders were dispatched around 2:50 p.m. following reports of a medical emergency in the 2000 block of Meyers Avenue. Upon arrival, first responders located a person trapped beneath a vehicle behind a local business. According to the Escondido Police Department, the vehicle had fallen on the individual earlier in the morning while he was working underneath it. First responders initiated CPR, but the victim was ultimately pronounced dead at the scene by fire personnel.
