Bill Horn, 83, served on Board of Supervisors for 24 years
Family and colleagues mourned the death of former County Supervisor Bill Horn, who died Friday July 17, surrounded by his family. He was 83. A combat Marine and local farmer, Bill served as a County Supervisor representing North County for more than two decades. He devoted his retirement years to founding and running a school in Uganda. Horn was a native San Diegan. His long career of public service began after he graduated from San Diego State University. He joined the U.S. Marine Corps, serving five years on active duty and seven years in reserve duty.
